Blast Software: Data Pump Documentation

Machine Requirements

To install and run the BLAST Data Pump, Windows 95, 98, Millennium, NT-4.x, 2000,XP, XP-Pro, must be installed and running. BLAST Data Pump will work on any computer meeting the minimum hardware specifications for the operating system. For Windows-95, your computer must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • 80486 class PC
  • 8 MB RAM (16 MB recommended)
  • 16 MB free hard disk space
  • CD-ROM Drive

Installing Data Pump

Data Pump uses InstallShield Wizard to install to your PC. To install Data Pump:

  1. Start your Windows software.
  2. Insert the BLAST Data PUmp CD into your CD-ROM Drive.
  3. InstallShield Wizard starts automatically. Follow the on-screen directions to install the BLAST Data Pump.

If the InstallShield Wizard does not start automatically:

  1. Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
  2. Double-click the icon for your CD-ROM drive.
  3. Double-click the Data Pump icon.
  4. Double-click the disk1 icon.
  5. Double-click Setup.exe.
